Lisa A. Powell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at the age of 46 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia.

Born on August 28, 1979 in Beckley, WV, Lisa lived a life centered around love, family, and unwavering devotion. She was the heart of her family and always present, always supportive, and always full of love.

She found her greatest joy in showing up for her children and grandchildren. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines at sporting events, celebrating milestones, or simply being there when she was needed most, she made sure her family felt her love every step of the way. Her presence was a constant source of encouragement and comfort.

Lisa also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially turtles and dogs, which brought her great happiness and companionship throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cal Powell, Sr; her children, Meranda Anthony (Trae), Cal Powell, Jr., John Powell (Carlee), Shea Powell and Hunter Powell; her cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Allison, Conner and Eli and soon to be newest grandson Easton; her siblings, Eddie Hoge (Jessica); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, Tina Martin, Renee Grim, and Matt and Tabitha Stebel. She was preceded in death by her father Russell E. Hoge and Mother Nora G. Davis and her Stepfather James "Jim" Davis.

She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her loyalty to those she loved, and the countless ways she showed up for her family. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in all who knew her.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 27th, 2026 from 2-4 pm with a Celebration of Lisa's life to begin at 4 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Melton Mortuary, Go Fund Me in honor of her memory, or to a charity of your choice.

Though she is no longer with us, her love will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
