Lois Maxine Aliff, age 95, of Beckley, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Lois was born July 19, 1930 in Edwight, West Virginia, a daughter of George and Rosa Thala Blankenship. She married the love of her life, Donald Gilford Aliff Sr, on December 23, 1947 and spent 59 happy years together before his passing.

Lois and Donald traveled the world together because of his service to his country in the United States Navy. While they traveled, Lois focused on being a devoted mother. She was a loving mom who raised her boys right. She loves her family deeply and enjoyed spending all the time she could with them. Lois loved to spoil the grandchildren any chance she got.

Above all else, Lois was a woman of faith. She was a devoted Baptist and attended many different churches throughout her travels. Mt Calvary Baptist Church was the church she spent the last half of her life attending and held a special place in her heart. Lois enjoyed her time there teaching Sunday School and singing for the congregation.

Lois was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald Aliff Sr; son, Donald Aliff Jr; brother, Bill Blankenship; and sisters, Phyllis Dillon, June Clay, and Georgia Atha.

Lois is survived by her sons, Jerry Aliff and Bill (Loraine) Aliff; sister, Ruth Lovely; daughter-in-law, Diane Aliff; grandchildren, Jessica (Brad) Drummond, Melanie Aliff, Nick Aliff, Wayne Aliff, Adam Tousignant, and Miranda Negron; great-grandchildren, Riley Tousignant and Logan Bidlack; and many other family members who love and will miss her.

The Funeral Service to honor Lois will be on Monday, November 17th at 1 pm at Melton Mortuary with Pastor Larry Kinder officiating. The family will receive visitors starting an hour prior. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Park.
