Loretta "Carol" Meadows, age 81, of Beaver, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at her home with her daughter by her side.

Carol was born March 09, 1944 in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of John and Mary Kathleen (Fritz) Meadows.

Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her sister Janet Louise Cunningham, brothers David Lee Meadows, and Carl Macray Meadows.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Pamela June Keffer; granddaughter April Harold; grandson Traves Meadows and his wife Amber; great-grandchildren Skyla Meadows, and Tobias Meadows; great-great-granddaughter Elaya Black; sister Barbara Jean Carper and her husband Roy; her feline best friends Spunky, Mollie, Bopper, Millie, and Bubbles; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Carol enjoyed crafts, painting, ceramics, fishing, flower gardening, the color purple, her cats, and most importantly, children and grandchildren. She was a God fearing woman who loved Jesus and spent many years of her life at church. Carol spent her life thinking of others and made sure everyone else was taken care of and safe before herself. Her favorite saying to her family and friends was, "Watch out for the deer!"

A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be held at the Melton Mortuary Chapel on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 4 pm with Cousin Billy Fritz officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia or to the Raleigh County Humane Society in Carol's memory.
