Lorna Carol Crowe Goddard, 72, of Beckley, WV, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, April 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Woodrow Crowe and Norma Hundley Crowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Crowe and her former husband of 37 years, Danny Goddard.

Carol was a devoted homemaker. She was known for making the very best peanut butter fudge, and she loved baking, crocheting, and listening to music.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Lorna (Clifton) Stover of Mount Hope, WV, and Cristina (Shannon) Rudd of Rainelle, WV; her grandchildren, Savanna (Denny) Lester, Hunter (Brittney) Stover, Braydon Stover, Tyler (Shelby) Rudd, Noah (Haley) Rudd, and Logan Rudd; her sisters, Brenda (the late Michael) Martin, Debra Martin (partner Bill), and Wilma (Joey) Smith; sister-in-law, Jackie Crowe; as well as eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Carol's life will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 7 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Roger Fox of Oak Grove Baptist Church officiating. The family will begin accepting visitors at 6 pm. Those who wish to show their love and support for her family are invited to attend.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Raleigh Center, the ICU department at BARH, and the compassionate nurses at Bowers Hospice House for the care and kindness shown during this time.
