Margaret Louise Hicks

Margaret Louise Bailes Hicks of Craigsville, Nicholas County, West Virginia, passed away July 25, 2020 at Harper Mills in Beckley. Born September 21, 1941 in Richwood, WV she was the daughter of the late James E. Bailes and Vida Foster Bailes.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, R. Gene Hicks; three brothers, Howard, Charles and Henry Bailes; two sisters, Glenna Tincher, and Bonnie Bailes.

Survivors include, Elizabeth Weibly of PA, James Webb and Junior of Nettie, and Nelson Bailes of Craigsville.

She worked at BF Goodrich in Richwood for many years. Margaret loved to cook and can, and was very good at it. She will be missed by friends and family.

Margaret was like a mother to me and my family, Angela and James Keiffer. She always told people my kids were her kids and my grandkids were hers, and that’s how we all felt.

At this time, there will be no graveside service.
