Margaret Sue Lilly, age 82, of Beckley, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026. Margaret was diagnosed young with a seizure disorder that altered the course of her life. Margaret's faith gave her the strength to battle her illness and live a normal happy life. Her family was blessed to have her for 82 years.

Margaret was born November 27, 1943 in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of Boyd Lilly and Pearl Moye. She was raised with 11 brothers and sisters. Margaret is the last surviving one of her siblings and will be reunited with her family in Heaven.

Margaret loved to spend her days watching classic television shows. Her favorites were The Andy Griffith Show, Beverly Hillbillies, Hee Haw, and Petty Coat Junction. They brought her comfort and were played constantly for her to enjoy. The day began by asking Margaret what show she wanted to watch today. Her family fondly has each episode committed to memory from the time they spent with Margaret watching these shows.

Margaret was a country music fan. She could spend hours listening to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Their music brought her comfort on stressful days. Margaret found comfort in the great outdoors. She loved to sit outside with her family and watch for cardinals in the yard. Above all else, the time spent with family was what was most sacred to her. They were her strength and filled her life with love and happiness. Margaret cherished every moment with them; from attending church congregations, watching shows together, and sitting outside on the porch with them. Every moment with her family was a blessing. They feel her loss deeply and miss the joy she brought into their lives.

Margaret will be reunited in Heaven with her parents and 11 siblings.

Those left to cherish Margaret's memory are her special nephew, William Bryant and his longtime companion, Kimberly Brooks; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends who love and miss her.

A Celebration of Margaret's Life will be held on Monday, April 20th at 1:00 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Doc Adkins officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 12:00 pm.
