Marion Mann Obituary

We are saddened to announce that our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marion E. Mann passed away on May 7, 2023 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 78.
Marion "Cheeky" was born on February 9th, 1945 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to her parents Marion and Kathleen (Johnson) Lilley.
Marion grew up in Virginia Beach and after high school she bravely took off to New York City to take computer classes. It was during her time traveling to and from NY that she met her loving husband, Richard "Frostie" Mann at a bus station in Norfolk, VA. They then married and began their life journey together in 1964. Together they had two daughters Shelli Mann and Sherri Demarchi.
Marion had an artistic talent in everything she accomplished. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, quilting, and embroidery. She had loved Elvis Presley from a young girl and saw him live several times and was always first to see his movies when they debuted. Marion loved japanese food, her dogs, flowers, and making the best chef inspired gingerbread cookies.
Marion mostly enjoyed in her later years watching the birds at her feeders, connecting with her friends and family on Facebook, going out for Japanese food and listening to her favorite music. She was a very compassionate lady who took great pride and joy in making her famous gingerbread cookies for her grandson and great-granddaughter.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents Marion and Kathleen Lilley; sister Lois Ann Propst; and her best friend Anne Turner. She will forever be remembered by those who survive her, which include her loving husband Richard "Frostie" Mann; daughter Shelli Mann and Randy Mullins of Daniels and Sherri Demarchi of Stoney Point, NC; brother, Gary Lilley of Charlottesville, VA; grandson, Ethan Fritz of Stoney Point, NC; great-granddaughter, Chloe Fritz, niece, Noel Lilley Dubois of Virginia Beach, VA; nephew, Chris Lilley of Charlottsville, VA, niece Lindsey Propst of Brandywine, WV, sister-in-law Phyllis Mann; and her aunt, uncle, and cousins in Australia. She will also be missed by Donnie Ingram who has always been a very special part of their lives.
