Martin Joseph Tierson, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospical.

Martin, more often called "Marty", was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Darlene Tierson; as well as a son Zachariah H. Tierson.

Marty enjoyed playing music, playing Minecraft with his sons and grandsons, as well as his hobby of drawing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Ann L Tierson; sons, Martin "Little Marty" Tierson of Crab Orchard, Jonathan (Cassie) Tierson of Sophia, Craig A Tierson of Sophia, and Andrew Z. Tierson of Crab Orchard; grandsons, Henry M., Remington Z., and Maverick L., as well as sister, Heather (Keith) Cummings and nephew Trey; as well as nieces Sydney and Addyson of Parkersburg. He will also be missed by a host of friends and large family.

Dewey Lowe will be officiating and afterwords there will be a Celebration of Marty's Life on Wednesday, February 12th at 1:00 pm at Crab Orchard Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the Crab Orchard Baptist Church.
