Mrs. Mary Ann Hatfield, age 64, of Bolt, West Virginia, earned her heavenly reward on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at her home in Bolt, West Virginia.

Mary was born November 27, 1961 in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Jack Dempsey Pauley and Barbara Ann Pauley. She married the love of her life, Johnny Lee Hatfield in 1977. First and foremost Mary was a mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren with a fierce and burning love. Mary enjoyed camping, tending to her flowers and garden, she enjoyed all types of music especially her favorite artists Chris Stapleton, Elton John, Garth Brooks, John Denver and Tyler Childers. Mary loved animals as well devoting many years of her life as a dog groomer. Mary was not a stranger to the Lord, she always could be found reading her Bible and quoting Bible verses. She was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church for many years as well and loved her church family.

In addition to her parents Mary is greeted at the Eastern Gate by her daughter Barbara Nicole "Nikki" Hatfield, sister Suzanne Pauley, brother Jack Dempsey Pauley Jr, an infant brother, and mother and father in law, Dave and Suzie Hatfield.

Those left behind to forever hold and cherish Mary's memories are her loving husband Johnny Lee Hatfield, son John Sidney Hatfield "Little John" and wife Jenny Hatfield, daughter Jessica Renee Hatfield, grandchildren, Jenna, Evan, Vera, Lilly, and Tom Sawyer, siblings, Gary Steven "Turtle", Squire "Ray Boy", Barbara Lynn, Kathy Marie, Lora, and Bruce, special and dear friends whom she thought of as her own kids, Shane Stines, and Pamela Williams, special niece Molly and many other nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends who will all miss Mary dearly.

A going home celebration will take place for Mary on Friday April 24, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Garry Hall officiating. The family will accept visitors beginning at 11:00am until service time. Burial will follow in the Pauley Cemetery at Polk Mountain Ravenscliff, WV.
