Mary Chloe Harless Meadows, 85 of Beckley, West Virginia passed away September 4, 2024. She was born October 11, 1938 in Davin, WV, the daughter of the late Norman and Maxine Harless.

Mary was a Raleigh County physical education and health teacher for 35 years. She was also the tennis coach and cheerleader coach at Beckley Junior High; and judged the WV State Cheerleader Competitions for many years. She was a proud member of Black Knight Country Club, where she played golf and spent time with her many friends. Mary attended the First Baptist Church, Beckley, WV.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Maxine Harless; sisters Jeanne Smith, Dorothy Smith, and brother Holt Harless.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Leah Meadows and Donita Lilly (Randy); grandson Nicholas Jameson (Matt), granddaughters Amy Nolte (Ian), Amanda Lilly, Alisha Ross (Richard); great grandchildren, Kyra, Ayven, Elliott and Eva. She is also survived by her companion and love, Jim Hamrick; her sisters Linda Bailey, Suzanne Gertz, Cathy Norrell, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 6:00 pm Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Friends will be received starting at 4:00 pm. Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center has the honor of serving the family during this difficult time.
