Mason Horton, 50 of Soak Creek, WV was born August 24, 1975, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV, and gained his wings Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Mason enjoyed working on old cars, riding his side-by-side, looking for his next project to tinker with on Facebook Marketplace, spending time with his best buddy and family pet Rover, and spoiling his twin grandsons, Tanner & Trenton, along with his many nieces and nephews, who all adored him.
Mason was a man who loved his family. He was as devoted to them as they were to him. He formed many special bonds in his family but those with Aunts and Uncles were extra special. Mason's loss is deeply felt and his family will forever miss him.
Mason was preceded in death by his dad, Jasper (Jackie) Horton, MawMaw Juanita Lehman; and paternal grandparents Jack and Betty Horton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Mom Debra Basham Horton of Soak Creek whom he made his home with; son, Dustin Horton; brother Jasper (Marsha) Horton III; sisters, Melissa (Rick) Toler and Megan (Ashleigh) Horton; nephews, Nick Horton and James (Emily) Toler; along with his twin grandsons, Tanner & Trenton Horton; great nephews and nieces, Clementine ("Tootsie Pop") Toler, Kinlee ("Sissy"), Karter, and Keenedi Horton; and his lifetime buddies Cliff Wyatt, and Rick Toler ("Three Amigos")
The family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later time. Melton Mortuary will be handling all arrangements. Offers of condolences can be left on the Melton Mortuary website.
