Max Barrett Fisher

Max Barrett Fisher 89, of Daniels West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2022. He was born to the late Forrest, and Mary Poore Fisher in Raleigh West Virginia on September 3, 1933.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Randall Fisher.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife Elizabeth Fisher of Daniels, son Steve Fisher of Cumberland Maryland, daughter Lori Fisher Smith and husband Doug of Beckley West Virginia, grandchildren Taylor Evans of Asheville, North Carolina, and Dylan Smith of Beckley, West Virginia, and his two brothers Phillip Fisher of Louisville Kentucky, and Gene Fisher of Orlando Florida.
Max was a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and then proceeded to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where he received a doctorate of Dentistry in 1959. He then went on to practice in Princeton before returning to Beckley in 1961, where he practiced until his retirement in 1995. Max and the love of his life Liz were married on December 26, 1953. They have been lifelong members of the United Methodist Temple.
Max loved his family and friends, and was an avid lover of the outdoors, and the sports opportunities it provides, he enjoyed skiing, camping, playing tennis, horseback riding, and even sailing. Traveling as much as possible was also always on his agenda.

A Celebration of Life for Max will take place on Saturday December 17, 2022, at the United Methodist Temple, Service time will be at 2pm, friends and family may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you please consider donating to the United Methodist Temple, and the Raleigh County Humane Society.
