Maxine Ara

Maxine Ara, 77 of Cool Ridge went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Beckley, WV.

She was born on September 12, 1943 in Clear Creek, WV to her late parents Albert and Lilly (Harmon) Dunbar.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 38 years, Ray Anthony Ara; daughter Vicky Sue (Mark) Rorrer; son Allen Wayne Bailey; daughters Cheryl Ann Benemann, Angelia Lynn (Scott) Entsminger, Kimberly Joan (Scott) Hammon; and son Acie Arron Bailey; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Tommy (Debbie) Ara; sisters-in-law Rama (Mike) Hayes and Drema Ara; niece Prissy; nephew John Ara; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.  She also leaves behind her fur babies Asia, Chloe and Julie.

Maxine was a hard working woman who loved to take care of her family.  She enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening and tending to her lilies.  Maxine was known for her work ethic and taking care of others and her fur babies.  Her biggest passions in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies.  She will forever remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center Chapel.  A funeral service celebrating Maxine’s life will be held at 1 pm.  Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
