Melissa 'Missy' Ann Bailey, 55 of Glen Daniel passed away on December 12, 2024.
Melissa was born on February 4, 1969 in Chicago, IL to the late Ronnie Lucas and her mother Mary Henderson.
Along with her father Ronnie, Melissa is also preceded in death by her daughter Heather; sister Tonya; nephew Cameron; grandparents Jim and Rosie Lucas and Roy and Norma Massey.
Melissa, also known as Missy or Sis, enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She also liked canning, gardening and planting flowers.
Missy is survived by her fiance' Billy; children Tiffany, Michael, Rachel (Dustin), Katie (Donald) and Kelli; grandchildren Gracie, Remington, Knox and Dustin; brothers Ronnie (Teresa), Billy (Pam), and Jamie (Audrey); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the CCU nurses at Raleigh General Hospital and the NICU nurses at Ruby Memorial Hospital for their loving care.
Missy's family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 - 2 pm at the Mattsville Community Church on Monday, December 23, 2024. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Thomas Dulin officiating. Missy will be laid to rest at the McGinnis Cemetery with Matt, Jordan, Cubby, Little man, and Cody serving as pallbearers.
