Melody Adkins

Melody J Adkins, beloved Daughter, sister, wife, mother, Mimi and a dear friend to so many, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday August 5,2021, at the age of 62. 

Melody was born in Beckley Wv on June 17, 1959 to her loving parents the late Basil O. Bennett and I. LaVaughn Bennett. 

She is preceded in death by her father Basil. 

She is survived by her loving husband Rick, Daughter Toni Daniel and Son Paul Adkins all of Beckley Wv. Her Mother LaVaughn of Clayton NC., Sister Penny Atwood (Paul) of Clayton Nc. Brother Tom Bennett (Betty) of Beckley Wv. Grandchildren Braxton and Tucker Adkins, and special Sister in law Brenda McGuffin of Southpoint OH along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved her dearly. 

Melody was raised in a faith filled loving home and strives to provide the same for her home, children, and family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and most treasured her relationship with Him and her family. She was also a lover of the beach. She was the most happiest when she was surrounded by her family and watching her grandchildren grow and play. 

Services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Faith Community Church. 299 Grey Flats Road, Beckley Wv. With Pastor Sam Peterson officiating. 

Friends and family may call and visit from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Service will begin at 1:00, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Beckley Wv.
