Michael Slavey, 60 of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away on November 5th, 2022 at the Bowers Hospice House. He was the son of the late Sonny Slavey and Patricia, and Basil Sharp. In addition to his parents,
Michael is preceded in death by his aunt Nancy Jones, grandparents David and Marjorie Hogan, and his cousins, Shannon and Brian Jones.
Those left behind to forever hold, and cherish his memory include his sons Dustin Slavey, and David Skinner, a brother Patrick(Annie) Sharp, sisters Kelly( Dennis) Gallegos, Sherry Slavey, Marjorie Sharp, and Melissa(William) Denny, grandson Gavin Skinner, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will all miss Michael dearly.
Michael was an outdoorsman, racking up many miles on his old boots, enjoying nature, and finding God's beauty in the wilderness. He was a giving man, always doing his best to help others in need with no expectations or credit. One of his favorite places was Gettysburg Pennsylvania, where as a child spent time at his grandmother's cabin.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Bowers Hospice House for their exceptional care, and to Sandy Shrewsbury for their exceptional friendship shown to Michael.
