Minnie Faye Evans McCune 50 of Hilltop passed away Monday, May 27th, 2019 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a short illness. Born January 21, 1969, in Oak Hill she is the daughter of Nancy Evans of Hilltop and the late Gene Evans.
Minnie loved music especially George Jones. She loved spending time with her grandkids and being in the outdoors.
Besides her father Minnie was preceded in death by; one son Kenneth Ray McCune II, two brothers Kenneth Joseph Evans, and Dennis Allen Evans.
She is survived by; one daughter, Shandi Faye Settle and Timothy Edward Baxter of Hilltop, three granddaughters, Magenta Faith McCune – Wright, Lydiann Brooke Williams, and Reba Faye Settle all of Hilltop.
Five brothers Leroy Evans and wife Carolyn of Craigsville WV, Cecil Evans and wife Sharon of Hilltop, Leonard Evans and wife Lucy of Hilltop, Kenneth Hubbard and wife Tina of Flushing, Michigan, Keith Hubbard and wife Melinda of Crab Orchard.
Three sisters Melody Evans of Monroe NC, Dorothy Maner and her husband Conrad of Savannah, GA, Terri Ruetsch and her husband Cliff of Moyock, NC.
Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A Celebration of Minnie’s Life will be held June 7th, 2019 at the Center of Hope, Oak Hill WV from 6 to 8 pm with Mike Bone officiating.
I would like to thank Bowers Hospice House in Beckley and the CPICU unit at CAMC Memorial in Charleston for the wonderful care they provided my mother during her illness.
