Mona Kay Wiseman

Mona Kay Wiseman, 79, of Mabscott passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021.  Mona was under hospice care at the Villages of Graystone at her time of death. 

Born March 20, 1942 in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter to the late Elsie and Golden Meador. 

Mona spent most of her life caring for others as a nurse and business owner in the medical field.  She started her career in healthcare working at Beckley Hospital, spent time at Southern WV Clinic, worked for Dr. John Daniels and then Doctor's Clinic.  Mona started Doctor's Clinic Pulmonary Lab which became All Care Medical that she ran for 20 years.  Mona was on the Board of Directors for 13 years at Mountain State University. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with family and travelling with her husband James.

Mona is preceded in death by her brother Benny Leonard Meador.

Surviving family members include her loving husband of 56 years James Wiseman; her son Chuck Wiseman (Yulanda) of Beckley; her daughter Lori Hallman (Drew) of Charlotte; grandchildren Britani Crawford (Mike) and Chuck Wiseman of Beckley, Natalie Hallman and Megan Hallman of Charlotte; great grandchildren Emma Crawford and Ethan Crawford of Beckley and Jackson Wiseman of Beckley and many other treasured family and friends.

The family will be having a private viewing and a graveside service on Tuesday, November 23 at 1pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.  Friends are invited to join the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Southern WV.  The family also thanks the caregivers at the Villages of Graystone.
