Nancy Lynn Sears

Nancy “Mammy” Lynn Sears was born on May 22, 1955 in Beckley, WV to her parents Everett and Hazel (Greer) Roark.  She went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2022, in Beckley, WV at the age of 66 following a long illness.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Everett and Hazel; brothers Dennis and Franklin Roark; nephew Jason Lytton; and sister-in-law Beth Roark.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving companion  Wayvole “Cletus” Bolen; daughters Kris (Keith) Lacy, Kimberly (Paul) Fox, and Lindsey (James) Viars; grandchildren Haylee (Nole) McClung, Kelcie and Tanner Lacy, Jonah and Malloree Fox, Mara and Addilynn Viars, and Karson Morrill; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda (Claude) St.John, Carol (Ronnie) Agee, Diana (Gary) Lawson, and Becky Lytton; brothers Everette (Theresa) Roark, Johnny and Joseph Roark; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mammy enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, spending time in the sun, watching soap operas and spending time with her family.  Her true passions were her grandchildren.

The family would like to acknowledge all of the nurses and staff at the RGH CCU for the great care and kindness showed to Nancy and their family.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am – 1 pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Roger Fox officiating.  Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with friends and family serving as pallbearers.  Words of comfort and condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.meltonmortuary.com
