Nancy Darlene Maxwell

On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, Nancy Darlene Maxwell, loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife and mother passed away in her home in Sophia, WV at the age of 62.  Nancy was born to James E. Sapp and Beverly A. Sapp on March 13, 1959 in Beckley, WV.

Nancy graduated from Independence High School in 1977.  She married her love, John Wayne Maxwell on October 10, 2007.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Gleophus Gaston Steele and Bertha Mae Steele; paternal grandparents Barney Geneseo and Geneva Bell Geneseo; parents James E. Sapp and Beverly A. Sapp; son Steven; aunts and uncles Linda Spangler, Betty Weldon, Shelby Doss, Shirley Gobb, Teressa Henderson, Cleophus Gaston Steele Jr., Johnny Steele, and George Doss; and her brother in law Gene Perkins.

She is survived by her daughter Misty Jarrells and Husband David, Hannah Beggs, Andrew Jarrells and Alexis Jarrells; daughter Kristy Ferguson and her husband John Wayne Maxwell; brother James E. Sapp Jr. and his wife Jeni; nephew James “Lilman” Sapp; nieces Crystal Sapp and family, Angel Alderman, Taylor, Brody, Ashley, Josh Lester, Kyleigh, Megan, Melissa and James Jarrell, and Rebbecca; Wayne’s daughters Melissa and family, Sabrinia and family, Jennifer; aunts Carol Bower and Mary Geneseo; cousin Tina Angle and Arland, Stephanie Geneseo and family.

A committal will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
