Nathan Dale Claypool, age 77, passed away on September 24, 2024. He was born on May 2, 1947 and raised in Bolt, WV by his parents Homer Claypool and Ella Hager.

He loved to travel to bluegrass festivals with his friends. Nathan was a big fan of NASCAR and vintage cars. He was a man that had never met a stranger and would always want to talk to everyone around. Nathan had a funny sense of humor and no filter that made those around him laugh. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; son Brandon Jason Claypool; and brother John Claypool.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Michael (Kelly) Claypool; 2 estranged daughters; granddaughter Emily Claypool; brother Rod (June) Claypool; niece Pam (Scott) Thomas and their children Kayla and Kyle; and many other friends that loved him dearly.

Services for Nathan will be held at 2:00 pm on September 30, 2024 at Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family will begin receiving visitors at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at the Claypool Family Cemetery. The family extends a thank you for all the health care workers that took care of Nathan.
