Patty Miller Obituary

Patty Jo (Gwinn) Miller, 85, of Harper, WV was ushered into her Heavenly home on angel's wings, Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born to Ray Staunton Gwinn and Della Argentina Lockhart Gwinn of Iager, WV on January 22, 1938. Patty lived as a true pillar of Christ and devoted her life to showing others the fullness of God's love and grace. She was an exemplary mother and homemaker, with her cooking and baking being the highlight to those she held dear. Her selfless generosity was always at the forefront of her everyday ministry and service to the Lord. She shared in 60 years of marriage to her late husband, Gerald Miller, devoting her life to faith and family. Patty cherished music and above all, faithfully reading scripture.
She is preceded in death by her parents, in addition to her brother Benny Morgan, sister Betsy Pack, brother Thomas Gwinn, brother Johnny Gwinn, sister Alice Cozart, brother Stevie Gwinn, and grandson Gus Deeds. She is survived by her sister Mamie (Steve) Swiger of Beaufort, SC, brother Jackie (Kathy) Gwinn of Mount Hope, WV, son Rev. Frank (Teresa) Miller of Washington, WV, daughter Pamela (John) Mayhew of Evington, VA, and daughter Sandra (Kenny) Maiolo of Harper, WV.
She is additionally survived by her grandchildren Olivia (Trenton) Tunnell, Franklin Miller, Amanda (David) Moore, Rebecca Deeds & Dylan Farish, Susannah Deeds (Kade Fitzgerald), Joseph (Jodi) Maiolo, Meredith Maiolo, and Kenneth (Allison) Maiolo, as well as her great-grandchildren Owen and Jane Tunnell, Beckett Moore, Marcela and Joaquin Garay, Della Deeds-Farish, Joseph and Genevieve Maiolo, Olivia Jo Maiolo, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Visitation will be held at Melton Mortuary on Thursday, January 11 from 5-8 PM. Services will be conducted by Pastor Garry Hall on Friday, January 12 at 2:00 PM interment to follow privately. Pallbearers will be Kenny Maiolo, John Mayhew, Joseph Maiolo, Kenneth Maiolo, Michael Maiolo, and Owen Tunnell.
