Paul Eugene Bolon

   Paul E. Bolon 83, of Piney View, WV went home to be with the Lord on August 5th, 2023, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV at 7:00 PM. Born on September 28th, 1939, at Sandlick, WV, he was the son of the late Carl Bolon, and Bertha Hicks Bolon Prunesti.

   Paul was a Christian Man, and attended the Maynor Freewill Baptist Church. A coal miner, he retired in 1995, from the UMA, District 17, Light Foot Coal. Paul loved to work, play music, watch westerns, and help others. He also worked in construction, the sawmill, and lumber industries.

   Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty six years, Wanda Stover Bolon; one daughter, Ann Acord and husband Kevin; two grandchildren, Tyler Acord, and wife Brooke, and Kaitlyn Acord, One great-grandson, Granger Bennett, and one more on the way, all of North Carolina. Other Additional survivors are his brothers, David Bolon, and wife Brenda of Paris Tennessee, Jesse Prunesti and wife Joyce, of Maple Fork, WV, and one sister, Catherine Black of Grandview, WV.

   Paul is greeted at Heaven's gates by his sister, Mildred, and brothers, Carl, Estes, Luther, Joe, and Lewis.

   A funeral service will take place for Paul on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023th at 1:00 PM in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Mike Worley officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11;00AM. Paul will then be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, WV.

   Pall-bearers are John Bolon, James Bolon, David Bolen, Garland Dillon, Kevin Stover, Toney Stover, and Bill Prunesti. The family would like to offer special thanks to the nursing staff at Bowers Hospice House.
