Pearl Della "Dollie" Bolen Scarbro, 81, of Glen Daniel, WV, was welcomed into her Savior's arms on Friday, September 17, 2021. Our loss is truly Heaven's gain.
Born August 5, 1940 in Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Earl Dyer and Pearl Moss.
Dollie loved to attend church, spend time with her family, eating out, yard sales, reading the Bible and volunteering. She was a pediatric nurse and a long time member of Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rodney W. Scarbro; two sons, Robert A. Bolen Jr. and Rodney W. Scarbro Jr.; several siblings and her life-long friend, Donna Day.
Those left to cherish her memory include; three daughters Debra and Thomas Johnson, Tammy and Rick Stover and Ronnetta Scarbro; grandchildren Domincia and Arnold Lee, Brandie and Robert Holm, Ricky and Staci Stover, Della and Dave Eastridge, Robert and Brittany Bolen, Mason Jones and Rayna and Zack Shoenfelt; great-grandchildren Caige, RJ, Daylan, Justin, Morgan, Kody, Brooklyn, Kayleigh, Kenzleigh, Braxton, Dove and Logan; several siblings; a host of extended family and church family; niece Lisa Bolen and nephew Alan Bolen both of which she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10 am - 12 Noon at the Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service celebrating Dollie's life will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Dewey Lowe and Corey Brooks officiating. Interment will follow services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where Dollie will be laid to rest by her loving family Dave Eastridge, Robert Bolen, Jonathon Bolen, Mason Jones, Justin Eastridge, and Rick Stover.
