Penny Gail Clark, age 75, of Beckley, West Virginia,  passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at WV University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 
Penny was born June 27, 1949 in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of James Acord and Mavis Sutton. She married the love of her life, Vernon Clark on July 04, 1976 in the Beckley Church of God Chapel by Reverend Danny Acord. In addition to her parents she is greeted just outside the Eastern Gate by her brother Danny Acord,  brother in law Elsworth Baker, and cousin Sandy Deem. 
 
Those left to forever hold and cherish her memory and await a joyous reunion are her loving husband of 49 years Vernon Clark, daughter Cameo(Brian) Sampson of Beckley, WV, granddaughters Cathryn, and Evelyn Sampson, sister in law Linda Baker, and nieces Dannagale (Pam) Acord, and Ashley Baker, and many other extended family and friends who will all miss Penny dearly.   

Penny shared her love for all children by dedicating 36 years of her life to shaping, and guiding the young minds of her beloved students as a guidance counselor for the Raleigh County Board of Education. She loved spending time with her friends and family at her favorite places namely Myrtle Beach, and Pigeon Forge TN.
 
A celebration of Penny's life will be held on Friday June 27th, 2025 at 6:00pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family will accept friends beginning at 5:00pm. The family would like to offer special thanks to all of the staff, and doctors at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for all of their love, care, and compassion shown to Penny, and the family throughout this difficult time.
