Philip Preston Lilly

Philip Preston Lilly, 67, of Daniels, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2022. Born on March 19, 1955, Philip was the son of the late Gail Looney and late Gurvis Looney. Mr. Lilly was born and raised in Beckley, West Virginia and was a 1973 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He then studied chemistry at West Virginia University and Mountain State University. He married the love of his life, Tomi Calfee Lilly on June 28, 1980. They welcomed their only child, Katelyn "Kate" Leigh Lilly, whom he loved and cherished, on September 17, 1988.

Philip was an avid New York Yankees fan, loved impressionist art, was a passionate lover of music and enjoyed listening to his extensive collection of vinyl records and CDs. He worked for Pittston Coal for several years before joining REIC Laboratories, and later Quality Environmental Containers. He was the current COO of TKL Inc. Philip was a member of the United Methodist Temple in Beckley, WV. Instilled from his strong faith, he had the definition of a servant's heart and always put others before himself.

Philip is survived by his wife, Tomi Calfee Lilly, of Daniels, WV, daughter, Katelyn "Kate" Leigh Lilly of Charleston, SC, brother, Mike Lilly and sister-in-law, Paula Lilly, of Beckley, WV, nephew, Michael Lilly and wife Christie, of Beckley, WV, niece, Sara Lilly Doyle and husband Warren of Greenville, SC, and cousins David Gilmore and wife Tamerra, of Charleston, WV, Roger Gilmore of Charleston, WV, and Danny Gallaher of Beckley, WV, as well as other beloved cousins and family members.

Pallbearers are Michael Lilly, Luke Lucas, Blaine Udy, Danny Gallaher, Aaron Cline, and Nick Culicerto.

Friends and family may call at Melton Mortuary at 12:00 PM (noon) on Monday, September 19, 2022, prior to the 1:00 PM service and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Officiating the service is Reverend Vondie Cook.
