Reba Dixie (Stanley) Carte

Reba Dixie Carte 91 of Dorothy, WV gained her heavenly reward on May 29, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Jip, and Ethel Stanley.
In addition to her parents Reba is preceded in death by her son Eric Allen Perry, and her late husband Benny Carte.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Timmy (Wanda) Perry of Artie WV, Phil( Gwinna) Perry of Dorothy WV, daughter Linda( Jim) Pack of Myrtle Beach SC, sister Bertha Bailey, grandchildren Sarah, Jimelle, Rachel, and Sarah, numerous great grandchildren, and step children whom she loved dearly.

She was a devout Christian who enjoyed singing, quilting, and sewing. Reba was an amazing cook and loved to can, no one ever went without a full stomach. Reba was a coal miner during the coal boom of the 70s and 80s with the Maple Meadows Mining Company.

Reba will be missed dearly by her friends, family, and all that knew her.

Per Reba’s wishes cremation arrangements will be handled by Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date by family.
