Richard Keith Lester, age 61, of Coal City, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at his home.
Richard was born November 10, 1964 in Beckley, West Virginia, a son of James Lester and Hazel Bell.
Richard loved to spend his time hunting and fishing. However, he loved the time he spent with his family above all else. His family meant the world to him and he loved them dearly.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Ida Lester; and brothers, Michael James Lester and Larry Wade Lester.
He is survived by his companion, Caroline Royal; 3 daughters, Amber, Courtney, and Amanda; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Farley, Shirley Hall, and Sharon Cook; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends who love and miss him.
A Memorial to honor Richard will be held on Monday, April 20th at 5 pm at the Ury Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Kenny Lambert officiating. All those who wish to show their love and support for Richard and his family are invited to attend. Flowers can be sent directly to the church.
