Richard Lee Webb born to the late Roy and Lucille Elkins Webb on August 26th, 1948 at Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer on November 13th, 2025.
He graduated from Marsh Fork High School in June 1967. He enlisted in the Army, stationed at Fort Knox Kentucky before being deployed to Vietnam. After discharge he came home and met the love of his life Patricia "Patty" Jarrell, they were married on April 14, 1972. They were together for fifty-three years and seven months. In returning to civilian life he worked for the WV Department of State Highways, and then into the coal mines where he worked for thirty-three years and nine months until he retired out.
In addition to his parents he is greeted just inside the Eastern Gate by his in-laws Jennings and Genevieve Jarrell; brother Donald Eugene Webb; grandparents Harrison and Jane Webb, and Robert and Lona Elkins; niece Heather Diane Webb; and nephew Jeffery Canterbury.
Those left to forever hold and cherish Richard's memory and to await a reunion day are his loving wife Patty; four children Kimberly Ann Webb, Christa Justice(Chad), Randa Daniel(Dewey), and Franklin Webb; five grandchildren, Alan Snow Jr., Cooper Justice, Makayla, Brooklyn, and Connor Basham; four great-grandchildren, Brynlee" Papaws Little Hurricane", Bryson, Oakley" Pawpaws Little Angel", and Owen; sisters and brothers, Kay Howell, Margo Canterbury(Danny), Jerry Webb, Diane Canterbury(Steve Darnell), and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will all miss Richard dearly.
A funeral service will take place for Richard on Wednesday November 19th, 2025 at 1:00pm with Pastors Ricky Peters, and Jerry Brown officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at 11:00am. Entombment and military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
