Robert Harold Turner, 68 of Drews Creek Rd, Naoma, WV passed away on May 10,2022 after complications from a recent surgery.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his father Marvin Clyde Turner; mother Opal Osborne Turner; and his aunts that raised him like their own Lena Turner and Alva Hunter-Vickers; 3 wives, Brenda Canterbury and their son Robert Dewayne Turner and also Justin Walker that was Brenda’s son whom he thought of as his own, Pamela Nelson, and Angela Scott; 3 sisters Lithonia and Adabell Turner, and Betty Slone; 2 brothers Theron and Donnie Turner.
He leaves behind his daughers Misty and Wesley Scarbrough of Rock Creek, WV, Shianna Turner and her companion Paul Miller of Stickney, WV, Sabrina and Savahnna Newman; sister Deloris Workman of Naoma, WV; brother Marvin and Marianne Turner of Rock Creek, WV; 3 granddaughters Breanna Stanley, Frances Scarbrough and her companion Tyler White, and Tianna and John Scott; grandsons Budders Scarbrough and Brian Andrew Webb; 3 great-grandsons Nathan, Gregory, and Asher; and 3 great- granddaughters Jasmine, Alyssa and Haislynn; special niece who he loved dearly, Opal Workman-Farris; and his best friend, his loving dog, Ed. He also leaves behind a large amount of nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.
Mr. Turner was a retired coal miner who enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to Bluegrass music, and loved the lord with all his heart.
His mother passed away not long after he was born so we take comfort in the thought of the big smile on his face and the love he felt when he finally got to Heaven to meet her for the first time and to be reunited with his son that passed away when he was only 10 days old.
There will be no service at this time. Mr. Turner’s family has entrusted Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center with cremation arrangements. A memorial service to honor his memory will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in the Walker-Scarbrough Cemetery in Rock Creek, WV. Please check back for future service updates.
