Rocky Leonard Cresce, age 75, of Beckley, West Virginia, hung his boots up on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

He was born November 21, 1948 in Mount Hope, West Virginia, a son of Alfred Cresce and Lena Louise Nenni. After graduating high school, Rocky enlisted in the United Stated Marine Corps and served several years in Vietnam.

Rocky loved coaching his grandson's little league baseball team. He said it was one of the most enjoyable times in his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Cresce; parents, Alfred and Lena Cresce; and brothers, Floyd Cresce and Joseph "Joey" Cresce.

Rocky is survived his daughters, Laura Powers, Roxanne Cresce, and Natalie Cresce; grandsons, Ryan Powers, Devin Cresce, and Trey Woodson; granddaughter, Mia Walton; great-grandaughter, A'Rayah Cresce; sisters, Dora (Stanley) Wybersky and Rosie (Sonny) LaTulipe; and his sweet girl Sassy.

Those that knew Rocky knew that he would say "Sometimes a Soldier's just got to hang his boots up".
