Roger Paul Watson, 72, of Beckley, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Roger was born in Beckley and was a son of the late Paul Edward Watson and Pearl Anice Watson. Roger attended Woodrow Wilson High School and became proficient at automotive repair and painting. He was a master of many trades but he preferred and enjoyed painting many different types of vehicles. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, nature and joy riding.
On the weekends, he attended Maple Valley Baptist Church in Maple Fork with his sister and brother-in-law.

Along with his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his nephew Ray S. Pate, Jr.
Roger is survived by his sisters Barbara Quesenberry Clinton of Maple Fork, Mary Quesenberry Carter and her husband Joe of Concord, NC, and Donna Quesenberry Miller and her husband Don of Coal City, brother Danny Watson and his wife Shari of Maple Fork, and his special nephew, Joey, many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am - 1pm at the Chapel of Melton Mortuary on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. A celebration of Roger's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Brad Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the John W. Davis Cemetery, 273 Davis Cemetery Rd., Maple Fork, WV with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
