Ronald Dean Hicks

Ronald “Ronnie” Dean Hicks, age 62, of Sophia, WV, went home to be with the Lord at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Friday, July 16, 2021.

Born on July 31, 1958, in Queens NY, he was the son of Anna Viola Barnhart Hicks and the late Eugene Earl Hicks.

Ronnie was a maintenance man (troubleshooter) for Access Health and attended Freedom Ministries when health allowed. He spent his time working with his hands doing carpentry, welding and fixing things. He loved roller skating, music, hunting, fishing, tinkering and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his mother Anna “Peggy” Hicks of Meadow Bridge; three children, Ambra Hicks of Beckley, Johnathan Hicks and wife Carrie of Beckley, and Daniel “Danny” Hicks of Sophia; grandchildren, Aiden Jarrel, Ethan Jarrel, and Neveah Hicks; his brother Earl Hicks and wife Debbie, of Oak Hill.

A Celebration of Ronnie’s life and the love his family and friends has for him will be held at a later date.
