Ronald Gene Willis

Ronald Gene Willis, age 81, of Park City, KY, formerly of Meadow Bridge, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Born on June 8, 1939 in Gap Mills, WV. He was the son of the late Dean and Helen Willis. He was the loving father of Ronald and Shannon Willis of Gonzales, LA, Beth and Scott Hughes of Gonzales, LA, Rhonda Garcia of Beaver, WV, Renee Willis of Beckley, WV, Robin and Ron Buck of Daniels, WV. Stepsons includes Paul and Rose Garcia of Beckley, WV, Lonnie and Tammy Garcia of Rainelle, WV. In addition to his children, he is survived by his sister Patricia Ballard of Gap Mills, WV, and his niece Sarah Jane and Jill Dudley of Frankford, WV, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his son William Willis of Gap Mills, WV, his brother Junior Willis of Gap Mills, WV, his grandson Ronald Willis of Gonzales, LA. Ronald joined the Coast Guard in 1957 with an honorable discharge. He worked at the Celanese Plant in Covington, VA. He began his career in law enforcement in 1973. He worked for Quinwood Police Department, Alderson Police Department, Meadow Bridge Police Department and finished his career at the Rainelle Police Department. Services will be held at Melton Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11:00 am followed by a burial at the Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. It will be officiated by Pastor Mike Nutter.
