Ronald Max Clower Obituary

Ronald Max “Ted” Clower, 81, of Glen White gained his wings on December 13, 2019 at Raleigh Gener Hospital.

He was born on May 14, 1938 in Lester to James Hubert and Goldia Izola Spangler-Clower.

In addition to his loving parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Martin-Clower on June 21, 2017.  Whom he was married to for over 55 years.  Also a infant son, Ronald Max Clower Jr.; a grand daughter, Amy Lynn Clower; a grandson, Raymond James Riley-Clower; and a great-grand daughter, Bella Sky Wood; twin brothers, William “Bill” Clower and Dennis Ralph “Sonny”Clower; and two sisters Ramona Jean Clower-Harp and Janice Ruth Clower-Hardy.

Those left to cherish him in memory, Rony Cower of Mt. Hope, Vernon Clower of Glen White, David Clower of Fairdale, and a special Loving daughter, Jennifer Clower of Glen White; grandchildren, Ronald “Bubby” Clower of Glen White, Heather Clower of Aberdeen, MD, Kandi Wood of Glen White, Vernon “Lee” Clower Jr. of Beckley, David Hicks of Edgewood, MD, Nicholas and Alex Riley of Glen White, Marley-Mae Riley and R.J. Riley of Glen White, two great grand kids he raised, Cassie Clower and Leland Sturgill, and tons of great grandchildren.

Before moving back to Glen White, he made his home in Aberdeen, MD for 33 plus years.  He was retired from Harford County Board of Education, he was also employed by Aberdeen Concrete Co., and the Churchville Church.  He was a man of many trades.  He loved building stuff out of wood.

His hobbies included going to auctions to buy used cars and estate auctions to buy many antiques.  He loved fishing and boating.  He had a love for farm animals which he raised.

Ronald served our country in the U.S. Army; he was the type of man who helped anyone and everyone that he could.  He’d give you the shirt off of his back, or the last dollar if you needed it.  He never met a stranger wherever he went.

He would love to sit and reminisce about the “good ole days’ as we called them, and he did have some good ones.

Ronald was very active in the community where we grew up, helping anyone and everyone with painting, remodeling, landscaping, and etc.  Boy we look back and wonder where did he find the time!  That was one of his good qualities.  Ronald was of the Baptist faith.  He loved his kids dearly and always involved them in a lot of his hobbies and side jobs.  He was a good provider for his family.  God couldn’t of chosen a better man than him to be our loving father.

To honor and celebrate his memory the family will hold a service at a later date.
