Rosemary McGinnis Richardson, 83, of Surveyor passed away suddenly at Stonerise Nursing Home, October 15, 2023, after a short illness. She was born February 19, 1940, a daughter of the late, James "HUB" McGinnis and Beulah "Boots" McGinnis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Morgan Richardson, Sr., greatgranddaughter, Mariana Elizabeth Richardson, an infant brother, Jamie, an Infant sister, Victoria and sisters: Shirley Dunbar, and Linda Cozort (Roger). Those left to cherish her precious memories are sons: Morgan "Bimbo" Richardson, Jr. wife Bessie, Robert "Rollo" Richardson, wife Karen, Dean Richardson, wife Vivian, daughter, Katrina Furey, husband Blaine, son, Ames Richardson, wife April. Grandchildren: Jessica Perryman (Jimmy), Candace Hatfield (Jarod), Kimberly Salyer (Chad), Jeremy Richardson (Jennifer), Dougie Lucas (Savannah), Dawson Lucas (Jenny), Joe Lucas, Vess Furey, Matthew Furey, Jordan Brown (Carol), Zachary Richardson (Akari) a multitude of great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Sisters: Nancy Webb, Ellen Todd, Martie Darlington (Orice), Brother: Alan McGinnis (Barb), Brothers-inlaw: Bruce Richardson (Patricia), and Bob McMillion. She was raised in Fairdale bottom, WV. She attended Trap Hill High School, married her husband of 60 years, worked at Union Carbide in Cleveland OH. After moving back home to Lake Stephens, WV., she was co-owner of Lakewood Marine, loved doing taxes for others just to help them out. She LOVED God first and foremost, her family, but also, studying her Bible, her church; Akers Missionary Baptist, of which she was a long-standing member. Hunting, fishing, the outdoors, golfing, bowling, playing bluegrass, country, gospel music, (she was a member of "Across the Miles" band), traveling to Canada and other places. All of which she did right up to her passing. She was a sports FANATIC of NFL (Cleveland Browns), Ncaa Football (WVU and Marshall) Golf (Phil Mickelson, and others), she loved doing word puzzles of all kinds. She made the statement, many times, that she never got bored. Although we will miss her tremendously, she is now in the Savior's Loving Arms, rejoicing in heaven with her husband and all the loved ones that have gone on before. She made a lasting impression on each and every person that was BLESSED enough to know her. And all her loved ones that know Jesus as their Personal Savior (John 3:16, Romans 10:3 & 10:9 ) will be reunited in heaven with her one glorious day! A celebration of her life will be Sunday October 22, 2023 at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center. Visitation will be 1-2 pm with her service to follow immediately after with Pastor: Ardeth Bailey officiating.
