Shirley Stacey, age 60, of Beaver, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Beckley ARH in Beckley, West Virginia.
Shirley was born August 19, 1963 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Edward and Lorene (Mullins) Stacy. Shirley was raised by the late P.T. (Tal) and Viola Sigmon of Glen Fork WV. Shirley had been employed as a life long care taker. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and had enjoyment of nature and animals. And had a love for sitting on the porch watching thunderstorms.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Cunnigham and boyfriend John Burleson of China Grove, NC, son, Zachary Caldwell of Beaver, WV, sister Nora Mullins of Beckley, WV, sister Irma Jean Stacy of New Bern, NC, and a brother Edward Thornbury of Worten, KS. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a wonderful lifelong friend, whom she considered as a sister, Susan Massey, of Glen Fork, WV. There are countless lives she had an impact on, and she will be dearly missed.
It is our desire to follow Shirley's wishes to arrange cremation services with Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center. It was her wish to not have any formal services or visitations.
