Staci Rene Skidmore of Beckley, WV, departed this world on February 17, 2025 at CAMC Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Staci was born on October 17, 1984 in Logan, WV to Glenn and Priscilla Skidmore. She was only 40 years old.
In addition to her father, Glenn Alan Skidmore of Logan, WV, Staci was preceded in death by her newborn son, Kane Alan.
Staci was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us too soon. Staci's greatest joy in life was her children, whom she loved with all her heart. They brought joy and laughter to her life and gave her strength during the rough times. Staci was also a devoted "dog mom" to her five beloved pets, who provided comfort and companionship.
Staci was strong-willed and stubborn - giving up was never an option for her. She faced the many challenges life threw at her with an inner strength and determination that made her a fighter until the very end.
She was also unwaveringly loyal and loved unconditionally. She would defend those she loved without a moment's thought. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she made time to give you a call to wish you well on your special day. The love and loyalty she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew her, even as she is deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us, Staci's memory will live on, growing with every story we share and every moment we remember her.
Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her children, Kayden (Natalie) Cross and Kehlani Ski, both of Beckley, WV; her mother, Priscilla Skidmore; her siblings, Glenn Skidmore II, Kelly (Billy) Bryant, and Eric (Rita) Skidmore; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the friends and family who supported Staci during her life and in her final days. A service to honor Staci's memory will be held at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center in Beckley, WV, on February 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Those wishing to offer their condolences are invited to gather at noon, prior to the service.
