Sterling "Lynn" Nettles born September 22, 1957, grew up in Dille, WV. He was a beloved father of 5 children and a brother to 3 sisters. He spent his life as a Salesman working for a number of companies but the biggest part of his life was spent in the filed of insurance sales. He worked for Combined Insurance of America and had his greatest number of years with Aflac in which he was the district coordinator of West Virginia. His passion was fishing and spending time with his children and friends by the river.

He is survived by his loving children Chad Nettles and his girlfriend Sarah and grandsons Mason and Tanner, Catrina Brightwell and husband Justin Brightwell, Chauntelle Marcum and husband Scott Marcum and two granddaughters Cassidy & Savhanna Marcum, Codie Nettles and granddaughter Annie Marie, Caleb Nettles and granddaughter Tuesday and grandson Huxley. Sisters Cathy Davis, Melody Tyo, Marsha Baker. His mother Norma Aileen Nettles of Widen, WV.

He is preceded in death of his father Sterling Lee Nettles and grandparents Sherman and Hattie Nettles.

We will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday May 10, 2025 at Flat Top Lake, WV.
