Tammy Jane Dawson passed away on February 13, 2025 after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Tammy was born on March 28, 1960, in Norristown, Pennsylvania to her parents James "Jimmy" Mann and Jane Keaton.

Tammy was one of the strongest people you could ever meet. She was kind, compassionate, and caring. Even with her own battles, her focus was on taking care of others. Tammy worked helping others at the Carl Larson Cancer Center for 31 years. During that time, she began her own battle with cancer and fought ferociously to stay with her family. Tammy's strength in this fight inspired many of the patients she worked with. Tammy's love of God and the strength of her family behind her, gave her the motivation she needed to persevere.

Tammy loved her family more than anything ; Tammy spent every moment she had showing love to her husband, Ernie, and spending time with the grand-babies. She has been a constant pillar of love and support at games, family gatherings, and vacations. Her loss will be deeply felt.

Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Mann, and a grandson, Ethan Robert Beighey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 27 years, the love of her life, Ernie Dawson, her mother, Jane Mann of Coal City, a sister, Kimberly Mann, and two brothers, James "Jimbo" Mann and Tracy Mann. Three children, Penny Beighey (Rob) of Louisville, KY, Ernie Dawson (Anna) of Bardstown, KY and Lily Reed (Jordan) of Beckley, WV. 3 grandchildren, Abbie Dawson, Sadie Beighey, and Wylder Reed. An abundance of bonus grandchildren, and three special grandchildren, Zayd Clifton, Cayden Clifton, and Harper Clifton.

A Funeral Service will be held for Tammy on Saturday, February 22, 2025 in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family will begin receiving visitors to celebrate Tammy's life beginning at 12:00 pm until service time. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm and be officiated by Pastor Sam Peterson.
