On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, Thomas Edwin MacAulay was reunited in Heaven with his parents Marion and Malcolm.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, daughters, Arrienne and Cara MacAulay. His son Bryce and wife Lara, and Grandson Evander MacAulay.
In addition to his immediate family, he leaves to cherish his memory his five siblings their spouses and children, Jeff (Lorraine), Marilyn (Larry), Brian (Matt), Jackie (Paul), and Jerry (Christie).
Tom was born January 18, 1956 at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Silver Springs, MD. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School 1974. He then attended Marshall University. Tom received his Master of Business degree from Marshall University. He graduated from West Virginia University School of Law in 1982. He worked as an Assistant Prosecutor for Raleigh County since 1990.
Tom will be remembered as the “Pig Roaster Savant and Ice Cream Man.” Tom’s kind heart, tender spirit, and the ability to make people laugh will be remembered by those he encountered. He loved to surf fish, garden, and socialize with friends. As a member of the legal community, he enjoyed the people he worked with and helping the public he served. He was honored to serve on the Board of Health as Chairman.
Friends and family are welcome to visit on Monday evening, May 2nd, from 6 to 8 pm at Melton’s Mortuary. A wake service with scripture and prayer service will begin at 7:30 pm with Deacon Jay Ziolkowski. Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11 am at St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church. The Fr. Sebastian Devasya will be celebrating. Family members and friends will carry Tom to his final resting place.
