Tommy Ray Green, age 72, of Itmann, West Virginia, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 after a long battle with illness.

Tommy was born January 4, 1954 in Welch, West Virginia, a son of Glen and Nancy Ann Green. He married the love of his life, Brenda Sue Sizemore and they spent 56 years together building a beautiful life and home.

Tommy was a coal miner of 20 plus years and an auto mechanic helping his family out every time a vehicle broke down. He loved fishing and hunting, especially bow hunting and the spring turkey season. Tommy always helped friends and neighbors; running them to doctor appointments, fixing their cars, plumbing, and electrical issues. He loved his family, especially his grandkids - He was always so proud of them. Tommy loved helping the people around him whether he knew them or not. He never stayed still, always moving.

Tommy will be reunited with his parents, Glen and Nancy Green; brothers, James Green and his wife Jeanene and Daymon Green and his wife Debbie; and son, Kenneth "Mike" Michael Green.

Those left to cherish Tommy's memory are his wife, Brenda Sue Green; sons, Thomas "Mark" (Brittany) Green, James "Jimmy" Marshal Green, Kenneth "Mikey" Green, and Bradon Lee Green; daughters, Mary (Dillon) Green, Joanna (Gary) Wright, and Tristen (Samuel) Green; grandchildren, Katelyn Green, Dezarae (Jerry) Tilly, Alex Green, Brittany Green, Gary Wright III, Ella Abbott, Jacob Green, Haley Green, Caleb Wright, Gavin Green, and Ian Green; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Taylor and Aspen Rose O'Neal; sisters, Marsha Green and Pansy (Steve) Brown; brother, Marvin (Jeanie) Green; a wonderful addition coming to the family in August, great-grandbaby Taylor; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial to honor Tommy will be held at a later date. The dates and times for the memorial will be announced on the Melton Mortuary website when they have been scheduled.
