Mr. Toney Kevin Canterbury, age 58, of Naoma, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Toney was born on January 12, 1967 in Beckley, West Virginia, a son of the late Orville Canterbury and Clara Mae Morris-Canterbury. He married the love of his life, Mary Davis on October 19, 2006 in Catlettsburg Ky. Toney was a very generous man even willing to give you the shirt off of his back if it was needed. He was a true Appalachian outdoorsmen always enjoying being in the mountains, riding four-wheelers and hunting for Native American arrowheads. Toney also enjoyed drag racing and NASCAR as well always rooting for his favorite drivers Dale Earnhardt "The Intimidator #3" and Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Dale Jr. #88" in all their races.


Those left to forever hold and cherish Toney's memory are his wife Mary Canterbury of Naoma, WV; brothers, Pat Canterbury(Tina) of Naoma, WV, Danny Canterbury(Margo) of Montcoal, WV, Eugene Canterbury(Sheila) of Naoma, WV, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who will all miss Toney dearly.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center in accordance with Toney's wishes and are honored to serve the family during this difficult time.
