Vanessa Clayton Musick was born on February 3, 1951 in Coaldale, WV to his parents Parley and Jean (Otey) Musick. He went to be with Jesus on June 1st, 2025 at 4:40 pm at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Anna Lou (Stroup) Musick.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Carlton (Rusty) Musick and his wife Sandy, sisters Ginger Neely, Cherry Bunch, and Ennice (Dan) Trump, and his special friend Benny Bilbrey, and many extended family.
Vanessa was a child of God and a living example of the mercy and love of Jesus. While living in Pine Lodge Nursing Home for 5 years and under going many sicknesses, he was known for his smile and never ever complained. He loved and believed in family and as they loved him, the last month of his life, he was never alone as his sisters, nieces and friends stood by his side. He left this world to be forever with Jesus. Gone from our sight but forever in our hearts - Until We Meet again.
The family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love and care given to Vanessa from the staff at Pine Lodge Nursing Home and from Palliative Care of Southern West Virginia.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Musick Family Cemetery, 2103 Bolt Rd, Bolt, WV 25839 with Pastors Ginger Neely and Bobby Carter officiating. Vanessa will be laid to rest with his late wife Anna Musick. Dan Trump, Wes Trump, Charlie Williams, Benny Bilbrey, Michael George, and Rusty Musick will be serving as pallbearers.
