Vanessa "Aunt Nessie" Ann Scott

Vanessa Ann Scott, 46 of Beckley went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Princeton.  She was born on June 12, 1975 in Beckley, WV to her parents Dallas Ray and Lorraine Catherine (Parker) Scott.

Aunt Nessie was preceded in death by her father Dallas Ray Scott.  She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter Sarah (Trevor Hughes) Santamaria; sisters Pamela (Larry) Bigham and Christal (Chad) White; brothers Timothy Travis, Brian Scott, and Matthew (Jessica) Scott; mother Lorraine Catherine Scott; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Aunt Nessie enjoyed gardening, coloring, taking walks, and crafting.  She loved to take care of her own personal gardening space and loved to make crafts for other people.  She was a joyful spirited woman and was loved by everyone who had the honor to meet her and be friends with her.  Aunt Nessie was committed to going to church and reading her Bible. If she was not able to attend, she would watch services online.  One of her favorite things to do was to have family gatherings during every holiday.  She truly was the glue that held our family together.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center Chapel.  Burial will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
