Jennie passed away on May 28th with her family by her side. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She enjoyed word searches and cryptoquotes. During her time here she enjoyed careers as a professional cook, a dental assistant, a coal miner, and above all, a mother, grandmother and homemaker.

She had several dogs in her life which gave companionship, whom she loved like children.

She had a love for flower gardens, and watching documentaries from the ID channel and anime with her granddaughter, Reina.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Charles Sloan, daughter in law, Debbie Sloan and parents, William and Nancy Romine.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Charles Sloan ll, Billy Sloan and daughter Stephanie Tate; grandchildren, Charles Sloan lll, Maria Boone, Chase and Carlee Sloan and great grandchild, Reina Tate, and Noah, Levi and Fiona Boone, as well as her sister Phyllis Clyburn.

Services will be Friday, June 7th at 3pm at Sunset Memorial Park in the mausoleum. Jennie had requested a small service for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude's children or Bowers Hospice in Beckley WV.
