On Sunday, February 15th, 2026, Walter Vincent Farris Sr. passed from this life.

Walter was born January 19, 1959 in Beckley, WV. He was the son of Billie Jean Farris and the late Rev. Walter E Farris Jr.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Farris, his father Rev. Walter E. Farris Jr., and two brothers, Billy Ray Farris and Dallas Farris.

Walter enjoyed riding motorcycles and had his constant companion, his dog, Gator, always by his side.

Those left to remember him are his daughters, Julie (Ted) Mills of Sophia, and Brandi (Ryan) Pittman; one son, Walter V Farris Jr. (Mary) of Beckley, as well as five grandchildren: Bethann (Waylon) Claypool, Brianna (Ethan) Jarrell, Izzy Pittman, Connor Pittman, and Draven Pittman. Also left to remember him are his mother Billie Jean Farris, a brother, Wally (Opal) Farris, and a sister, Michelle (Michael) Tolliver, and many other family members, and friends.

Walter will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, alongside his wife and father.
