ESTEP, William - Age 86, of Mount Hope, WV, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his daughters on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in Mt. Hope, WV following a long illness.
William "Clyde" Estep was born June 08, 1939 in Grundy, VA, a son of the late James and Nettie Church Estep. Mr. Estep retired from General Motors in Pontiac Michigan. He was affiliated with the Fireco Independent Baptist Church in Fireco,WV.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son William "Blake" Estep; three brothers, Amos Estep, Cecil Estep and James Estep, Jr. and three sisters, Juanita Hurley, Ruby Lester and Betty Waynick.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Ruff and Husband Jimmy of Mt. Hope, WV; Angela Sears and Husband Douglas of Jonben, WV; Step daughter, Lynn Liedel-Dykes and Husband Warren of VA Beach, VA. Two brothers, Ervin Estep and wife Earleen and Virgil Estep and wife Caroline, all of Fenton, MI; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
