Wilma Helen Queen, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away on July 11th 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia.
Wilma Helen Queen was born in Nicholas County, WV to Thelma and Heber Moore along with four sisters and two brothers; Linda Bowman, Jeanie Welch, Marie Green, Kathy Donell, Toby Moore and Jerry Moore.
Wilma was a loving mother to Dorothy Spearman and Kenneth Spearman Jr.
She is preceded in death by Kenneth Spearman Jr., Jerry Moore, and Edwin Queen. She enjoyed gardening and bee keeping with him on their farm in Buckhannon, WV.
Wilma, a natural born nurse, worked 30 years at St Joseph's hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was passionate about and taught rural emergency medicine and volunteered her time for Upshur County EMS and Life Flight.
She brightened many people's day with her smile and humor. We will miss her dearly.
A celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday July 16th 2024 at 1 pm with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating. The family will accept friends and visitors beginning at 11am. Words of comfort and condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.meltonmortuary.com.
